Learn To Practice KRIYA YOGA
Courses are offered in this ancient scientific art by Babaji’s Kriya Yoga.
Order founded by M. Govindan Satchidananda, author of the book "Babaji and the 18 Siddha Kriya Yoga Tradition"

The goal of human life can be said to be happiness, peace, love and enlightenment.
The desire for this perfection comes from the Self, the image of the Divine,
which lives and seeks to express itself through all humanity.
KRIYA YOGA is the scientific art of realizing the Self and the God-Truth union.
It was revived in modern times by the great Himalayan master Babaji Nagaraj.
It is a synthesis of all the teachings of the 18 Siddhas.
The techniques are taught in three initiations which lead one to Samadhi.

In the First Level Initiation seminar each student will learn:
the special routine of 18 hatha yoga postures to be uniquely practiced for greater health, relaxation and energy;
the 6 phases of the powerful breathing technique which is known as Kriya Kundalini Pranayama
to awaken and circulate all one’s sub¬tle energies;
the 7 progressive techniques of meditation which will help cleanse the subconscious,
leading to a mastery of the mind and bringing about the realization of the Self
and Absolute Reality.

Restorative Yoga Teacher Training

Restorative Yoga Teacher Training
Mar 23, 2012 - Apr 15, 2012

This 40-hour training, which will take place over two weekends in March and April, will provide a dynamic balance of theoretical understanding and practical integration.

Restorative Yoga is a powerful healing tool that reduces stress by supporting the body's innate responses towards homeostasis and health. The worldview of Ayurveda will enrich the postures, meanings, indications, benefits, and pedagogy of Restorative Yoga.

This program is welcome to all students, with or without previous yoga teacher training.

In this course, you will learn:
• How to improve your ability to see imbalances in the body more clearly and to use restorative poses as an assessment tool in order to understand how imbalance occurs.
• How to set up 25 postures with available props and verbal cues.
• How to assess support and comfort.
• How to ease agitation.
• How to balance postures for particular therapeutic effects.
• How to explain the organic and emotional benefits of postures.
• How to inject the poetry of the elements and gunas into a broad-based understanding of the healing process.
• How to digest these postures over time as teachers, and how to continue to grow in restorative teaching skills long after the training ends.
• How to improve your ability to heal yourself and to empower others to heal themselves.

Please contact us at info@octopusgardenyoga.com to apply for a place in this program. Applications are now being accepted.

Vikasa Yoga 200h teacher training in Koh Samui, Thailand
Apr 15, 2012 - May 13, 2012

You spend one month learning about your passion in our classic, Thai style wooden house at a beautiful and healthy setting between the mountains and the sea, recharging and even upgrading your batteries!
You get our 200 hour Yoga Alliance standard Yoga Teacher Training course which covers everything you need and more to go out and start teaching Yoga right away!
You’ll make a new network of peers, mentors, and friends that will open up opportunities and new experiences to you for the rest of your life!
You’ll transform yourself to be a person that is easier to be happy, harder to be upset, and all around wiser, fitter, and healthier.

More importantly, each of our five teachers is dedicated and passionate about what they will be teaching you. They live what they teach! This makes for a high quality course with lots of practical application, perfect for budding, soon-to-be Yoga teachers. You’ll be witnessing and experiencing yourself in new ways through practice, anatomical demonstrations, philosophical lessons…lessons that show you the subtleties of what it means to be a human being awakening into a undeniably new stage in the evolution of consciousness. You’ll also be getting lots of hands on experience teaching and assisting your fellow classmates as we compassionately guide you to be the best you can be. And, whether you plan to go on from your training as a teacher, or a practitioner with a deeper appreciation for yourself and the yogic lifestyle, you’ll be confident and energized to give a little more love to the world around you as you live a happier and healthier life.

Deciding to do a Yoga Teacher Training in Asia, especially in Thailand, has some nice benefits. Thai culture is infused with Buddhism which is an offspring of the ancient Yogic philosophies. It reflects in the behavior and character of the people here who generally tend to be very friendly and polite. You’ll find lots of inspiration visiting the Thai temples and seeing people make ritual offerings all over the place. And even though most Thai’s are Buddhist, they also incorporate the Hindu deities used by the traditional Yogis of India. It’s common to see statues of Shiva, Ganesh, Saraswati, and so on. The climate here is also just right for having a vigorous and detoxifying practice.
